“HONKY TONK HEROES”

In 2009 four members of the highly respected classic country group, “The Dixie Troubadours” reorganized to form the “Honky Tonk Heroes.” While the “Heroes” continue in the tradition of the Troubadours serving up the best classic and contemporary country music in Southern Utah, they have now added rockabilly and classic rock to their play list making them one of the most versatile groups as well. The “Heroes” perform originals in addition to the staples of classic country and classic rock and continue to delight audiences with tight arrangements, grooves and vocal harmonies. Whatever your dance preference, line dancing, Two-step, East or West Coast Swing, Lindy or Waltz the “Honky Tonk Heroes” can provide it.

The Heroes’ members have years of experience under their hats, and include on electric bass and vocals Grant Gunn, Ric Wayman on keyboard, Dave Stott on harmony vocals and lead electric guitar, Mike Thompson on the drum kit, and on acoustic guitar and lead vocals, songwriter Rich Panessa.

The band has performed for Zion Harley Davidson, Sun River Ball Room, the St. George “Dixie” Elks Lodge, and recently at the SUSWA Spring Concert Series. Band members all belong to the Southern Utah Songwriters Association and are available for parties and all other events.
