The historic square is well known and remains the outdoor performance backdrop of choice for SUSWA since they began in 2002. For those who may not know, the singer-songwriters and bands use the patio in front of the old jailhouse and sheriff’s office, now occupied by Shroomies, a wonderful eatery providing burgers from the grill and other gourmet delights daily and during the concerts.

The courtyard is also surrounded by other fine shops and restaurants too. Concert goers sit on patio chairs provided by The Pizza & Pasta Factory or bring blankets and lawn chairs to make use of the manicured green lawn which features sculpture and a rippling brook. Many who attend the SUSWA music event use the early evening to do a little shopping in the various art and clothing stores within and surrounding the tower building. Concert attendees always succumb to the wonderful aromas of all the great restaurants just a few feet from the stage area. You can treat the family to Italian delights from The Pizza & Pasta Factory, a taste of the orient from the chefs at “Benja”, the sizzling creations of Panama Grill, or for those who desire more formal dining there’s always the American cuisine provided by The Painted Pony overlooking the entire square.

After you’ve window shopped or purchased an interesting piece of art or souvenoir, and after treating yourselves to a wonderful meal or just a snack it is time to settle in for the music.

SUSWA is a non-profit membership of local singer-songwriters, musicians, vocalists, and bands who offer their music during these Concert Series at no cost to the audience.

We'd also like to thank The Ambassador Inn for their support this season!
